syncing selected iphoto events to ipad

I used to be able to sync selected events albums etc. from macbook pro to Ipad I. Currently when trying sync I only get the option to sync entire library. If I click Okay even though that is not what I want I get a message that says open IPhoto library. I do that. I click sync and get the same message again; i.e., open IPhoto library. In the past all of this has worked fine.

It sounds like you want to manually sync your content to your iPad, instead of how iTunes automatically syncs your entire iTunes library whenever you connect your iPad to your computer. If this sounds right, I'd check out this article and follow the steps within:
