My ipad 4 was stolen and has a passcode.

My ipad was stolen and I have find my ipad installed on it. I also have a passcode on it But if the person who stole it resets factory settings and updates it? Can Apple still track it?

If it is reset, you can't track.

Apple can't track it either.

I mean When I had reset my Ipad last time with itunes, it asked me to restore settings and update it. When the person tries to do that as he wants to unlock it, would apple be able to track it that time? as the pc will be connected to the internet and updating the Ipad??
