transfering music on ipod to laptop

I just recently received a laptop for a graduation present and one of the first things I wanted to do is put all of my music onto it from my ipod. I haven't really sat down that long to figure something easy out. I was wondering what is the easiest way to transfer an itunes library to another computer. Thank you for your time.
