Cannot get WD usb hard drive to work with Airport Extreme

I have a 5th Gen Airport Extreme I just bought (brand new) and have set it up in Bridge mode. I have physically connected my WD 2TB external hard drive through the USB port, but I cannot seem to get it working. Finder is not picking up the drive and I have no idea what to do now.... please help!

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

I did, but I cannot connect to the server as it says. Does it matter that the hard drive is NTFS formatted? If I plug the drive directly to my iMac I can view and add files, but not delete. The Airport Express is setup as a PPPoe connection.
