Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Hello Community,
My Macbook Pro (early 2011) has halted at the end of the installation process, when it states "Less than a minute". What should I do? Is there any risk to the system if I do a cold shutdown?
Any help would be appreciated.

Which update? Some will be completed if you do a force shutdown and restart. Others, won't. If the update fails, try it again.
The problem was about the above mentioned Security Update
Update 2013-003
I solved the problem by forcing the Mac to shut down. After that the update had to be repeated, which then worked out fine.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you got it working. Sorry, I missed that reference. Not a very useful feature for my way of working. Better is to include it in the message or subject line.
