Would you be so kind as to confirm for us, how you determined that all versions of iOS Are affected by this recently announced security issue?
It was announce on local abc news tv this morning that all apple products was affected
That's way apple released the me iOS 7.0.6
If you want to know if you are impacted by this security problem, go to :
https://www.imperialviolet.org:1266/
If you can't access this page, you're safe.
If you can access this page and read a plain text message about CVE-2014-1266, you're impacted.
No, not all iOS version, my old iPod touch A1288 ( 2ndGen) under iOS 4.2.1 is NOT impacted.
iOS 5.1.1 is safe, no CVE-2014-1266 security problem.
My ipad4 apparently needs updating. But of my 16gb I only have 13.2gb for myself, it's full but it says I need 856mb for the update. I guess I can out stuff back on after.
BUT sometime today my emails decided to reload and I now have to go through 443 emails!!!!
I read them everyday and check here and there throughout the day so there's usually only 10 at most. Would this security thing have anything to do with this madness?
ALSO I forgot, why did this security thing not come up on our ipad as a courtesy? Why have i had to find out about it two days later via this page?

If you have an original iPad, you are not affected by this issue.
I also have ipad4. I was going to recycle the old one but I've kept it as the first ipad4 had to be returned as it kept crashing...

Life is not fair. Do you have a technical support question we can help you with?
:) the technical question was there, you looked past it unfortunately.
I see no question, just another whinge. Presumably the poster has not the strength to read the hundreds of identical complaints on these boards.
Not everyone is technical, and if serious people on here that have the technical expertise to translate what you consider a whinge to explaining why, so the question you overlooked can be answered intelligently, then maybe this discussion would end with some solution or work around. I stopped following this discussion although this issue affects me, because people throw in what they consider wise comments that doesn't answer any of my questions. So I don't know what support this discussion board really provides any of the affected customers, technically or otherwise.
The iPad 1 does not have the required hardware to run iOS 6.
