cKeyboard's command function stopped working. Keyboard does work with my laptop. I did a soft reboot; and also followed all the other tests suggested in this article. I don't have my Mac Intall CD so I can't do that. Help!

Hello,

I have a Mac OS 10.6 desktop. The keyboard's command function no longer works. The keyboard does work on my laptop so that's not the problem.

I did the soft reboot and all the other steps suggested in the "Solving a software issue" article through step 4 and the problem persists.

I don't have my Mac Install CD to restart from - save for that - is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?

My computer IS old (5 plus years) but so far has worked without a major problem but recently beginning to show signs of wear and tear - including running slower than usual and crashing certain apps, Bridge and Photoshop in particular.

I regularly run the Disk Utility's First Aid as a precautionary measure.

Any help would be truly appreciated.
