My iPod Nano finally died after 6 years and my daughter has given me hers since she has the iPhone 5 How do I get Itunes to recognize this as mine now?

Connect it to your computer and Restore it from your backup.
It won't allow me to go to the backup screen.. This was my daughter's iPod Nano and was registered to a different computer. Thank you for your help, any other suggestions?
