My iphon 5 is taking 6 hours to erase all history and content,..is it possible with i-phone 5?

I phone taking too much time for erasing history and content .,is it possible with i-phon 5 ? i don't think so that i-phone made a device like this? i am jus boring out as i-phone is still reseting ...i cant understand..

Erase all content and settings on the iPhone 5 should only take a few seconds. I suggest you reset the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should restart. After that, try the reset again.
