I had recently got a new iPod touch at the genus bar after dropping it in the toilet. I restored it from iCloud and only my apps, music, mail and contacts showed up but not my music. I got the error "Only a partial iCloud backup can be made". I did it many times by resetting and starting the backup process all over again. Can someone please help me? đ

You could always redownload it from the iTunes store (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519). Another option would be to sync it back to your iPod from your iTunes library.
I Know that all my est 548 photos (worth a total of est 348 MB) are all in iCloud and I don't have iTunes on one of our computers (Dell Dimension 8100 with XP Home) because its to old and slow to run it. Btw I prefer using iCloud over iTunes because I like using it better than iTunes and its way quicker. Also I tried using iCloud one time before when I traded in my iPod touch 4th gen to get a 5th gen (I dropped that one in the toilet and got a new one at the Genius Bar) and it worked successfully. All of my apps, music, contacts and even my photos showed up. This time I don't know why it's not working and I haven't done anything wrong such as turn it off, unplug it from the lightning cable, turn off wifi- I did none of that. I still don't know why this is all happening. One of my friends told me that if the "Some contents cannot be restored from the iCloud backup." error happens, the best bet is to call Apple Support so they can see what went wrong with the iCloud restore.

2 I do not belive 500 pictures can fit in 380 megs of backup, but not sure. Ipod's camera resolution is low. Pictures should have come back and you didn't mention them in first post. You probably want to specify, what you meant by that.

Sorry to confuse you Fromsouth. It was the photos that I was missing from my iCloud restore and NOT my music! I will think about calling Apple and see what they will do (it's a maybe, idk if I will do it or not). Many people have complained according to other questions on Apple Support Communities about Apple doing nothing about it and that is a total myth. Also when I noticed that all of my photos were missing after my iCloud restore, I noticed that even if they didn't show up that there still in iCloud unharmed and the switch for having the Camera Roll backed up in iCloud was ON when I last backed up to iCloud with my old iPod on 5/29/13.
Sorry teckyboy, I can only repeat my statements with exception of the fact that now we know that when you originally typed music, you meant photos.
