I read that it's recommended to fully discharge the battery once in a month. So now I don't completely discharge de battery before plugging it in.

Which is fine. Charge it when you need to charge it. It's not good for the battery to always drain it, so I use the rule of thumb 'charge it when I don't have enough to get through the next day'
That applies to a Macbook Pro too? I'm planning to buy one if Apple upgrades to a rMBP with Haswell.

This applies to any lithium battery which all devices that use a battery run on. That's why you charge it until its 100% done so that it can trickle charge which improves battery performance.
If I tend to plugg in my iPod Touch before it gets completely discharged,that will reduce battery life more quickly?
