Installing Logic Pro X Basic Content Download never completes

The title says it all really. The application downloads and installs correctly. Upon opening the application for the first time, the basic content download begins. After downloading the 2GBs worth of basic content, the installer never seems to pass the installing phase. The progress bar stays in the same place.

Anybody else had this issue?

Thanks,

Dan.

I've been having this issue all day. I tried looking for that plist (which dannylister mentioned), but it is not there with the other plists. I (previously today) downloaded the initial program from the app store, started it and was given the "basic content download" screen, but nothing happens, even after deleting and reloading the original program.

Does anyone else have something that might work for me? I'd appreciate the help!

ISSUE RESOLVED!!!

Ok so, download AppCleaner for free. Throw the Logic Pro X application in here and it will find all files and caches associated with this program (there should be 5 total) and they should all be checked. Next select delete all and it will remove Logic Pro X and all files associate with it to the trash. Empty the trash. Next, reinstall from Mac App. Store, launch, and the install will complete this time 🙂

Just 'joined' this problem.

The Safe Mode. alone, did NOT work for me either.

(but I liked the idea).

I will read links and apparently there is something else to download, a pkg file and try something. And the idea of using AppCleaner or similar product to find out where the Logic Pro X files are going.

Will try the additional ideas - and report back.

Hi to all!

I have the same problem as dannylister. The installation is stuck at « Installing... » and nothing happens.

I tried it in Safe Mode, no change (I let it go for the whole night with no result).

I've downloaded the basis pack only (link you give), but when I try to install it, I can't because it finds no Logic Pro application.

Is anyone having an idea for me? Thanks!
