Logic X support for 32 bit AU or VST
Does Logic X support 32 bit AU plugins? If not, what would that mean to Logic 9 projects that use them?

No, after several years of time it seems all Apple applications are finally 64-bit only. It is a shame that some AudioUnit vendors didn't update their plugins, the writing was on the wall for a long time.
VEPro 5 is a great solution, moreover it is stable and works very well in Protools. I am now trying to get it to work in Logic (for the time being 7.2.3 because of compatibility with older VI's). One instance of VEPro (as a plugin on a track) allows for 16 outputs (stereo). I protools you just make extra tracks and pipe the outputs of VEPro to the inputs of these tracks. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to to the same in logic. The 16 stereo tracks are there, but I cannot find any type of track object (audio, audio instrument, bus, aux) that allows me to choose any of the 16 outputs of VEPro as input. Can anyone explain to me how this works in Logic. Thanks a lot!

Have you checked out the 32 Lives 32-bit to 64-bit plug-ins adapter? Sylenth1, for example, is listed in their compatibility chart.
32 Lives does work with many 32bit plugins.. However, there is also some noticable latency (for obvious reasons because of how it works..) when using it which may or may not be within workable limits depending on the sytle of music being written... Some users simply find the latency too much to be practical... where as others find they can deal with it... Also, some users have reported some instability akin to the old 32bit to 64bit bridge used in LP9 64bit mode. Again, some users are okay with that and others find it annoying or frustrating to the point that it makes using it, too much of a hassle.
This is why VEP5 is more often suggested for this purpose (even though it is an expensive solution if thats all it's used for) as it's latency is extremely low... and it is very stable.
Bob,
To be honest, Im not sure what you are trying to achieve but..
I would highly suggest you post your question in the VSL forums (rather than here) as I have always found quick answers to be forthcoming via that forum, when I have had questions in the past....
Cheers..
Nigel
Good to know. Thanks, Nigel.
