Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I downloaded ios 7, trying to be a wise guy/ cheap i didn't pay for it. now, i'm paying for the consequences. I've had more than one iphone on my laptop.

That jibberish makes no sense.
If the device is not running Beta software then the UDID is irrelevant.
If the device is running Beta software, as already explicitly stated in this thread, post to the developers forums.
I'm constantly amazaed how so many intelligent computer people cannot follow simply directions.

I ran into the issue by forgetting to register the UDID in the dev center before installing the 7.1 beta 2... so worked it out on my Windows laptop.
Just go to device manager, find the 'Apple iPad' on the Generic USB Hub, right click and select 'properties'. Then in the new window, select the 'details' tab and in the propery dropdown, select the "Last Known Parent", then the UDID is the number after the last '\'
