i just purchased logic x. i will install logic on my studio computer, where i don´t have any internet connection. it seems that the downloaded logic file can be transportet to my studio and installed. but what about the aditional content that is downloaded, when i open logic the firt tim? where is it stored? can i just copy the files and transfer them manually?

They are installed in many different directories, there is no easy way that doesn't result in a broken installation. No chance to connect your computer to the internet?
not really. that would mean to pick up the imac, bring it to my home and do the procedure ther. not very confortable.
what i did until now:
- i downloaded logic x on my laptop and installed everything, even the special content
- i copied the installer of logic x
- i downloaded the 2 gb file, which is installed after the first launch of logic x
- i copied the files from system-libary-application support-logic
- i copied the files from system-libary-audio
- i copied the files from user-libary-application support-logic
i consider to try the installation tonight. i hope i will suceed ;-)
have i forgot something important?
Yes, it's incomplete. A simple file copy doesn't fix it all. I would really connect the computer to the internet - at least on a case-by-case base.

do you really think, something is missing, when i run the installer and install the "ProAudioCoreContent10.pkg" file?
i think that is the main installation.
the ohther files, the adittional content (apple-loops, presets, samples, etc.) is mainly located in "system-libary-application support-logic" and not necessary to run logic, isn´t it?
ok, yesterday night, i did it and it works :-)
first install "ProAudioCoreContent10.pkg", then start the logic x app, downloaded from the app-store - that´s it.
the other files, the adittional content (apple-loops, presets, samples, etc.) i copied from the installation on my macbook. everything is running fine
How did you managed ProAudioCoreContent10 install?
It won't let you install itself before you'd install Logic, the d a m n thing says to me that it can't be installed coz Logic wasn't found!
Hey George, I don't know if you've figured it out, and maybe this thread is kind of old, but I wanted goshawk the heads up: Use Pacifist to see the contents of the ProAudioContent10.pkg file and then extract the files and place them to their respective folders. Then start up Logic and no more installation is asked. That simple.
