Jul 19, 2013 8:19 PM in response to kkwan77by Linc Davis,The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership. If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you also have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different.

Jul 19, 2013 8:46 PM in response to Linc Davisby kkwan77,More info, I have password set to trigger immediately after sleep or screen saver begins. When it initially comes out of sleep it doesn't prompt for the password, then it goes back into sleep. Upon the second time awakening it then prompts for the password.
Anyone else come across this?

Jul 22, 2013 3:34 PM in response to kkwan77by tyshi,I have been experiencing this exact same issue on my 2013 MBA. I have not tried resetting my PRAM. Did this fix it for you?
-
Jul 22, 2013 3:56 PM in response to tyshiby kkwan77,No, resetting the PRAM did not remedy this isssue on my end, still outstanding for me. If enough people report this issue to Apple Care they'll look into it, until then they'll just chalk it up as — "this only affects a small group of users".

Jul 22, 2013 5:01 PM in response to kkwan77by SobiaLab,Thank God I'm not the only person having this issue.
I hope this gets fixed soon.

Jul 22, 2013 7:14 PM in response to SobiaLabby kkwan77,I'm glad I am hearing more people coming across this issue and it's not a fluke issue.
Best thing to do is contact Apple support on this, the more people reporting this, the higher likelihood they'll actually address it.

Jul 22, 2013 8:54 PM in response to kkwan77by Heeshung,I originally had the i5/4GB 13" MBA which is when I first discovered this issue. I switched to an i7/8GB MBA (because I wanted the hardware, not because of the issue), and the same thing still happens.
However, on the new machine, resetting the PRAM has seemed to work as well, as I mentioned before.

Jul 22, 2013 9:48 PM in response to kkwan77by brainyark,I took my machine in to a Genius Bar, and they told me that this issue was likely connected to the Wifi issue. I used to have this problem, but haven't since installing the newest update (which hasn't fixed the Wifi issue for me, unfortunately)

Jul 28, 2013 11:19 AM in response to kkwan77by kimgood,PRAM didn't help me either.
It's about time for me to consider this as a hardware glitch only for a small batch of people...
