My remote app will not attach with my account and I have all the things updated and code put in to CPU all the sharing stuff is on what am I missing I tried on my iPhone and no dice there either. I don't know what to do.

I am having the same problem. I deleted my Remote App and reinstalled it and I still can't get my Ipad 2 and Iphone 4S to act as the remote on my Apple TV. The error message is can't connect to Itunes Library. My devices used to work just fine. I have done everything possible and still can't get this new remote app to connect so I can use my 2 devices to act as a remote to my Apple TV. What is your suggestion Apple Technical Support???
FYI: This is a user forum, not Apple tech support.
The only thing the remote app needs to function is to be on the same network as the Apple TV and home-sharing enabled (bundled remote would be needed to verify)
