As a college student, I'm looking into buying a stylus to take notes with on the ipad. I've heard that the Bamboo stylus is really good. But I was wondering if there are any other ones that are better for taking notes. Thanks!

How much is a stylus needed for you? If so the best tablet with a stylus is undoubtedly the Samsung Note range (2, 8, 10). If stylus input is important then these would be better than any iPad stylus.

I have the justmobile alupen and it works great. It also looks beautiful.
But be careful: I suggest you to buy a screen protector.
I have just learnt that the usage of a stylus does not damage the screen, but it affects the coating on it.
In my experience, as I write extensively with the zoom function, this turned out in having one horizontal stripe at the bottom of the screen (where I usually write notes) that catches A LOT of dirt and is more difficult to clean.
So my advice is: no matter what stylus you get, make sure you have your screen protected!

The amPen Hybrid Stylus is a great stylus for using with iPad Air. It works with both tapping motions, drawing and also writing. The quality is very nice and the end of the tip is soft so it will not leave marks on your iPad. I originally got mine to use for work, but always bring it home and use it as well. Very nice stylus!

I've had a Hex3 Nota for a week now. The hard rubber tip is half the size of the usual soft things. No tap-tap like you get from the more expensive styli that have the trasparent plastic disc. For general use and writing it is absolutely perfect.
Adonit has redisigned ther Jot Pro Fine Tip stylus. The cool thing is that it's only $30. It's lightweight alluminum makes it feel like a regular pen. Very natural to use.
