Need a little help. Two times now I have sent an email on my iPhone and a X rated pictures has poped up in the text of the message. Each time the receipent has let me know and sent back the email to show me what happens. Any ideas of what is causing this or how I can prevent it from happening again. Thanks

Now I wonder if any of us can help the OP? How did the X-rated picture not show up when he originally sent the email but now appears in the copy in sent mail on his phone?
I prefer Carrot Cake that a former employee of mine made. It has fruits and vegetables in it so it can't possibly be bad for me.
My thought is there might be an issue with his e-mail account, not the iPhone itself.
My question is whether or not he sees this image in the 'sent' email, either on his phone or on his computer. I wouldn't exclude the possibility that his friend is pranking him by editing the message and sending it back to him.
The friend sending it back would not place it in is Sent mailbox.
That's why I said to check the 'Sent' email. If the image is not there, then it suggests that it was never there.
I never implied that his friend could modify his 'Sent' email folder.
Thanks after reading all the responses I think that is what I will do. Better than having this continue.

IF you have jailbroken you iPhone and you think there is malware on it be sure to place your iPhone in DFU mode first (Google it) then Restore you iPhone in iTunes as a new device.
What mail service are you using? Are you sure the picture showed up in your sent mail folder?
Hello to all who are trying to help. I must confess this is like going to a seminar for a beginning user. In 1963-67 I was a student at UCLA and use to do Fortran programming, however I went on to other endeavors. We had what was called then a computer center. Now I have to reenter this world and learn again. I am not sure what jail breaking is but suspect it means a virus infected the iPhone. I think I will try the restore idea once I figure out what it is.
In 1965 we keypunched our cards and then ran them through a verifier I think that is what it was called, very painful, this is not that bad.

Hello what happened as I was typing I noticed a large space develop like I have hit the return key a lot of time. I wondered but thought I might as well just send the message. There was no picture then, just the space. When I arrived there was a picture. That is what I can tell you.

Hello I am using a ISP called Cruzio here in Santa Cruz.
To restore you just hook your phone to itunes> select your device >under summary tab select restore iphone> then restore to factory settings. Hope this helps!!
No, jailbreaking your iPhone can lead to a virus, but it isn't one itself. It is "hacking" your iPhone to install a different customized version of iOS and you would have to do it or get someone else to do so. If you have not done so a restore will not help.
When you go to your mail app on your iPhone and go to accounts and then the sent folder and click on that email is the picture there?
Yes you can see the picture in sent but not when you send it.

That is the part that has me curious, I can't figure out how that would have been put there if it was not in the original missive. Who is your mail provider?
If you haven't jailbroken your iPhone, and if you did not intentional put the image there (was it even on your iPhone in the first place?), and it appears in your Sent e-mail, then you need to contact Cruzio Email Support. The most likely issue is a problem with the email server side, not your iPhone.
Try sending an email using that account to your friend, but use a diffeent device, like your computer. See if it still appears. Also, does this image appear in any other sent e-mails to anyone else?
It's highly unlikely it's a iPhone issue, and more likely an issue with Cruzio e-mail.
