How to create a bootable Mac OS 7 Drive
Ive heard people being able to use Mac OS 7 with an external drive. I want to know if this is really possible, and if it is how can you do it?
Thanks

You would need to connect via SCSI cables and have SCSI hard drive with proper termination. The external drive also needs to have a SCSI ID number different than the internal drive. After you get the external drive to mount and have installed a Mac System on it you can select it as the startup drive by going to the Startup Disk control panel and selecting it, then restar tthe Mac. Another way to boot from the external is to hold the Command, Option, Shift, and Delete keys (COSD) while starting.
Some links to info below. Good luck. 🙂

If you have an old Mac with a floppy drive, check out https://sites.google.com/site/sheepmyshaver123/
There are bootable .dsk files there.
1. On a mac with a floppy drive that has OS X, go to finder preferences
2. Check show file extensions
3. Change the .dsk in the file to .dmg
4. Double click the .dmg
5. Drag the files to a floppy disk.
