Logic pro X wont discover my waves plugins. !

If you are running Waves V8 or lower.. they wont work because they are 32bit plugins which are no longer supported in LPX.

If you have Waves V9 then they should work. as V9 includes 64bit versions...

So, if you have V9.. Did you run the Waves AU Reg Utility found in Applications/Waves/Waveshell/? if not quit LPX and then run it and then restart LPX.

Note: Waves have their own unique AU registration method... which requires this extra step

Same as the original....Logic Pro X and Waves 9. It works completely fine on logic pro 9, but logic pro x won't even detect the the waves plugins. I've uploaded other plugins in the meantime and they are detected just fine. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

As I said, Waves V9 works fine with LPX and Mavericks.. so it's something wrong your end.. and not with LPX...

Did you upgrade your Waves plugins to the latest versions available?

Did you also run the special Waves Reg utiliity to install and activate them in OS X?

Finally did you re-register your plugins correctly?

If yes to all of those.. contact Waves support and ask for their help

I was having the exact same issue as you AKfromFar, and your trick worked for me...sort-of. In Logic I had to go to Preferences/Audio units manager and found that the plugs that were not working were unchecked even though I just bought them. I did download and demo the plugins a while back and must have turned them off. So I just re-checked them in the list and they now work yea! So thanks AKfromFar for the idea!

What did you try and what version of Waves are you now running?

Waves V9 works fine with LPX..... so you are either doing something wrong or you didn't install Waves correctly....

I think I figured it out. I had to open logic pro x...File..Audio Units Manager. and then click on each plugin to re-validate. THanks tho for the help. I really appreciate it.

Well, you shouldn't need to do that... which probably means the waves reg utility wasn't run correctly but glad you worked out an alternative way of how to get it back up and running....
