port 110 blocked according to earthlink for receiving mail
Please, somebody help. Have never had a problem until about a month ago. Receiving mail is sporadic via earthlink. Have checked with them and we have gone over all account info and it's fine. My satellite server has also checked their settings and all is fine. The message I keep getting is the connection to the server on PORT 110 has timed out. No one can understand this. Earthlink says the port seems to be blocked. I am using OSX 10.3.9. I have no problems at all with the NET or with sending mail. Everytime I click "Get Mail" the wheel spins and spins and the error message about port 110 comes up. Eventually the mail does come through, but this port 110 thing is driving me nuts. Can anybody help????? We have 2 powerbook g4s and it's the same with both.
