App Store updates blank

I have a red "1" on my App Store app, telling me one of my apps needs to be updated. But when I go to the updates it won't show anything, it's just blank. Everything else in the App Store works but I can't see the updates.any suggestions?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3

Hmmmm... Odd development now my wife's ipad4, my ipad mini & my ipad 2 all show same symptom. But after trying "rose from wny" suggestion instead of getting a blank screen I got the message "request timed out". This leads me to believe the issue is on apples servers Nd they may be getting bombarded by "something". The App Store app made the correct request but the server failed to respond thus a blank screen.

I agree with xcom97, it's not a big issue, but I'd like some acknowledgment from Apple too. I don't even care if I have to wait a month for it to be fixed, just as long as Apple lets us know http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. Otherwise, we're sort of floundering around wondering "what's wrong with my 'pad?" and not completely sure if it really is Apple messing with some script at Central Control, or if there's something else going on that truly is user error--although I don't think it is--but who knows for sure if they're not saying there's anything wrong?

I'm actually amazed that this has been going on for this long. Most companies would be all over this in a day or two at the most. For a company that considers itself to be a leader in the tech world they seem to be going through the 5 stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. We're 5 days into this and Apple seems to be stuck in the denial phase.

Folks.. for God's sakes, it's the weekend. Like most companies, Apples does not run at full capacity during this time. While I have the problem too on my iPad Mini, give them a chance and they will acknowledge and / or fix it that can be done at the drop of a hat.

Yes it's frustrating but lets face it..the sky is not falling and is no reason for people to say "apple needs to fix this now. I've lost faith in them." For some reason everyone seems to think that will just be an easy fix, when you have no idea what the issue is or what's entailed in fixing it. Realize that technology is not perfect, and will fail at any time, no matter what company is behind them. Relax, stop worrying and enjoy your weekend!!!!

Yes, it is the weekend ... When most individuals spend more time on their idevices than any other time of the week. A world class company should have world class support irregardless of the time or day of the week. Also this does not seem to be an isolated thing. Even when I worked for a tiny little shop back in the late 90s, we had tech support 24/7 I KNOW apple has a better support system than the 35 person operation I worked for back then

Point taken, but regardless of a world class company with world class support, it's premature to think that it's just an easy fix that can be done with a snap of a finger. How do you know they're not working on fix it? You don't. Bugs take time to isolate, diagnose, fix and test. So go enjoy your weekend, and don't sweat these petty things, just pet the sweaty things.

I Have the blank update tab on my ipad2, ipad 3, and mini. The 2 iPhones and 2 iPod toch 5ths are fine--for now. I have tried everything mentioned on the web to no avail. Reset buttons, network reset, 8.8.8.8 DNs, shut down and wait, change date and wait, change language, change location-- if it's on the web and worked for someone else, I have tried it. Finally I emailed apple. Wrote them what I just posted above. Dude told me to try the very same nonsense I had JUST written I have ALREADY TRIED!! Then he says--if all else fails, call Apple and they will let me know my free and my pay-for-it solutions. Hmpff haven't I already paid for it by buying all these gadgets rather than opting for the much less Android or Kindle-type toys??

Sso I update the long way for now, as someone else mentioned--by spending my time sifting through Purchased and updating 1 at a time...
