There are so many on the market with some awful reviews, I want to hear a good one from someone else's experience.

I've never had problems with Kensington keyed cables. The ones that have a circular key reminicent of the ones used on Coke vending machines. Stay away from stupid 4-digit combination locks that can be guessed in a jiffy.
That's what I was looking at, I just hadn't totally committed yet. I keep reading about how people have had their computers ruined by them getting jammed and what not. Oh well, I guess thats better than my new computer disappearing.
I've used that particular design of Kensington lock for decades - never had any problem with them. I also use one for my 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display - if anyone tries to steal my Display or MBP, they're going to have to take my desk with them if they want to make a quick getaway.
