OSX Mavericks Release Date

OS X Mavericks will be released in fall -September to December-, but we don't know the date. Also, Apple hasn't said what the cost will be, and we suppose that all users with access to the Mac App Store will be able to upgrade, always that they have a supported Mac. In theory, all Macs compatible with Mountain Lion will be able to upgrade to OS X Mavericks.

Unless you bought Mountain Lion within weeks of release date it will not be free, but it's probably gonna be the same $ 19.95 (I think, I have my store in another currency) so not really a big deal.

False. Apple never offers a free upgrade for users that have purchased OS X. That only applies to new Macs

Right, only with eligable systems. I was somehow under the impression that this was a computer purchase since it's in the MacBook Pro thread.

But you said "People that Bought Mountain Lion" Which is not correct. It is people that bought a NEW Mac after Maverick comes out and that New Mac has Mountain Lion Pre-Installed.

Hence my post above, it should (with mende1's post) suffice as correction.
