Old XBOX 360 Hard Drive for iMac?

Hello,

I have an old 120GB hard drive for my XBOX that got fried. Is it possible to take it out of its enclosure, put it in a USB enclosure and format it for my iMac? I would prefer to use it rather than junk it.
