HELP!! iTunes error 9006?!

Okay, I forgot my iPhone passcode so Im trying to restore it.

But halfway after its done when it says 'iPhone Software Updating (processing file)'' The error pops up saying

''There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone ''iPhone'' A unknown error occured (9006).

Make sure your networks settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again.''

I tried like 10 times and the same thing keeps happening!

My network settings are active and connected, I made sure all the firewall and everything was off,

restarted my computer, changed the control pannel LAN settings, everything.

Nothing works! :/

PLEASE HELP!

Coincidence.

Try the download again without changing anything and you have just as good a chance that it will work. I'll stake anything you like that changing cables/USB ports doesn't *always* work - because it has nothing to do with the error.

P.S. if it is related to USB hardware manufactured by Apple, running software created by Apple, this would indicate vagaries in something that is some way affect *nothing else* whatsoever. Seems a tad unlikely.

Does not matter how old the post is if the problem is still occuring...

I have recently updated my iMac to mac OS Sierra and since that time I can't update or restore my iDevices.

I have tried all trouble shooting steps mentioned in this thread...

I don't have any security software besides this what is build in from Apple.

I have no Idea what to do....

The funny thing is that iTunes is always starting with downloading the updates but somehow on the half way gets disconnected and then this error pops up :-/

Strangely enough, changing the USB port on my MacBook fixed the 9006 issue for me too. Would be curious to know the reason for the original issue and why it got fixed this way.

i had the same problem i try different times and got the same problem over and over again so this is what i did.

i had the iPhone in recovery mode so the computer began to download the new iOS 10.02 once downloading i unplug the iPhone and let it get almost done downloading then plug the iPhone back and it work
