Early 2011 750gb hd, 8 gb ram
My bad - thought that it MIGHT have been a late 2010 with the bad NVIDIA card.
Clearly, you have a hardware problem with your GPU. The best advice that I can offer is to take your machine to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them run diagnostics. There was a rather long thread here with people having problems with Early 2011 GPUs... not enough for a recall, I'm suspecting.
Do you have the extended AppleCare Protection Plan? If your problem is with the GPU, a logic board replacement would be in order and that can be quite costly.

I'll take it to an AASP for them to run the diagnostics.
I don't have an AppleCare Protection Plan, can I buy the enter my machine for the logicboard replacement?
This is really sad, good thing I have everything backed up in my Time Capsule.
Thanks for the advise.
You're welcome - I don't know how much a new logic board will really cost: $700-800USD? If more, you might want to save your money and just buy a new machine...
Good luck,
