I am having video playback problems with Logic Pro X. Video is stuttering and not playing back very well. I can load the same video into a LP9 project and the video playback is perfect.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
Brand new 12 core Mac Pro, 32 GB RAM, dual FireProD500 video cards, 500 GB boot drive, (running session from boot drive), two monitors connected via thunderbolt to mini-display port to dual port DVI and one TV connected via HDMI, still getting video lag. None of the suggestions here worked but the problem seems specific to certain projects and/or videos (converted to ProRes with no audio). Sync setting match frame rate.
Not playing video on TV seems to help.

Note: For reasons related to the non disclosure agreement, as pointed out by one of the Mods here... I cannot tell you exactly what 10.9.3 fixes and what it doesn't. I can only recommend you try it for yourself. Make sure you back up your current System disk before doing so, as always when dealing with upgrades of any kind in regards to OS X
So far I have found that the only thing that fixes this problem is to re-import the project, but not the project settings. So it's clearly some kind of project corruption at work.
There's no way I can recommend using a beta OS to my production users. I hope 10.9.3 release fixes this.

Just did a very quick test. Tried mp4 and Quicktime movies of previous film projects in Logic X. They were unworkable before with glitches/lag. Definitely the best it's been now after 10.0.7 update. Certainly workable.No noticable glitches/lag - then tried A/B test with Logic 9 using same films - Logic 9 playback still seems smoother to me with no delay in playback moving to different parts of film. Interested to hear other people's experiences with update.
I should add i'm using a 2008 Mac Pro 2x2.8 Quad Core Intel Xeon, OS 10.8.5 with 26 gig RAM. Video files on an internal hard drive.
