Please Help Macbook Air Charger

Intel core i5

processor speed 1.7 GHz

Hello I need some help if anyone has experiences these problems with ther mid 2011 Macbook Air.

So, my charger when plugged in sometimes doesnt show any light and the computer wont charge. Sometimes when it decides it wants to work, the light will turn green and then orange to show the baterry is charging like its supposed to.

BUT sometimes, when the computer is dead and it's plugged in, itll either show no light or the light will stay green and wont turn orange like its supposed to when its orange its supposed to mean the battery is charging and green means its fully charged but my dead computer will just show a green light and wont turn on at all.

Also, the end of the chord (the thing that plugs into the computer where the light is) gets EXTREMELY BURNING HOT (like if touched your finger feels like it is getting burned)

by the way This charger is the original charger that came with the computer by the way.

PLEASE HELP SOMEONE
