If no help is available here, and with the 'official' dev forums being unavailable, where can I go for help at the moment?

Nope, doesn't work for me, even with a new project.
The dialogue mentioned in the tech note just doesn't come up.
Is this what you see?
In that example, you would type in newName where it says ChangeMe on the right, then hit return. That should result in a popup dialog that says 'Rename project content items?' with a list of the proposed changes....
Where in that process is it not working for you?
The dialogue doesn't appear, and the name reverts to the original name whenever I hit return.
No idea why you're having that issue if you're doing it right, sorry. More than likely, tho, it won't be the only problem, especially if the install didn't go right.
I'd reinstall Xcode 4.6.3 and then try again...still no joy, ask on the Xcode forum in the dev center.

I installed 4.6.3 on another partition, and had the same issue, so I'll try the dev forums now they are back up. However, over the last year or so, I have not found them to be very useful.
