Apple TV, playback is interrupted by ipad launching Simpsons tapped out game

Whenever the Apple TV3 is running and my wife starts Simpsons tapped out on her ipad3, the playback is stopped and the Apple TV returns to the main screen. This happens regardless of the Apple TV running Netflix, remote audio files from our home server, or playing music from my own ipad mini. What does happen however is that any alerts (news, or push updates) to my wife's ipad are played loudly on the stereo which is connected to the Apple TV with an optical cable. Is this an Apple TV issue, an ipad issue, or a Simpsons Game issue. And how might it be fixed or circumvented?

If I restart playing what was playing everything will continue as normal even while the Simpsons game is played. This only happens when the Simpsons game is started...

I've encountered the same problem as you have but with Jurassic Park Builder on iPhone 4S but I also have Apple TV3.

The interruption for me happens like you said at the start up of the game, I seem to have pinpointed it to the cutscene part. A few logos flash onscreen then a cutscene. It takes control of the audio and makes the video in screen stop and go back one step in the menu on Netflix for example. Even if I tap repeatedly to skip the video it still interrupts Netflix.

It's irritating someone please help?
