i cant turn on my iphone 4 model A1332 after doing a. reset. nothing happens at all no mattet how i hold the buttons down can anyone help

I have been given a iphone 4 model A1332 and at first it says no service so i did a reset plus a network reset all to no avail. i then tried holding both home and power buttons together and the screen went black and now i cant even turn it back on. i have tried holding buttons again but no joy so is there anything i can do to sort out this priblem

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

Its really wietd as the phone was workin apart from it saying no service and i bought a vodafone micro sim for it and went through all advice posted on no service subject and nothing seemed to work so when i went to do a factory restore i held down the buttons as promted and instead of the yellow box saying connect to itunes it just turned off altogether and my head is battered. can anyone advise solutions as im totally lost and realy would like to get this phone workin
