Option 1

Use a package manager such as MacPorts, Fink, or Homebrew. You'll also need Xcode and XQuartz.

Option 2

Run Linux in a virtual machine under VirtualBox or one of the commercial virtualization environments, or better yet, run it on a separate PC on your network. That's the natural habitat of most open-source software, and that's where it will be easiest to install and most reliable.

Hi again

Now I have installed xcode , XQuartz and MacPorts but when I'm trying to install xmgrace with the following command :MacBook-Pro-de-MAC:~ MAC$ sudo port -f install grace

I obtain this message

Warning: The Command Line Tools for Xcode don't appear to be installed; most ports will likely fail to build.

Warning: See http://guide.macports.org/chunked/installing.xcode.html for more information.

---> Computing dependencies for graceError: Unable to execute port: can't read "build.cmd": Failed to locate 'make' in path: '/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin' or at its MacPorts configuration time location, did you move it?

Can you help me

thanks
