That sounds very much like a video DVD disk with a different extension/format as Wikipedia describes. This is what a video DVD disk's contents look like when created by iDVD:

If your disk looks similar you'll need a DVD ripper to rip the video from it into a useable format. Something like MPEG Streamclip or Handbreak. Bengt can elaborate more on which would be a better choice.

Hi

What is an udf-file ?

From what device is the Movie ?

In what Video-Codec is Your Movie ? (as far as I know of - udf is NO Video-Codec but sort of file handling as DOS / UNIX / FAT32 etc)

Can You open Your movie file in ?

• QuickTime-player

• VLC-Player

• MPEG-StreamClip

• JES_Deinterlacer

If any - see if You can get it converted to

• StreamingDV

• AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec)

They should work in iDVD
