Install Windows on a partition of external hard drive

I want to install Windows on a single partition of my external hard drive. I tried it with boot camp and disk utility but there you can only install it on the whole hard drive. Can someone help me? My hdd is 'My Passport Air' from WD.

Yes, use a VM, you can't run Windows (in Boot Camp) from an external drive.
