Apple blocking legit inbound email

I have apple blocking this inbound email sender who has been fine until a few days ago. I am not an expert at tracing if this is an icloud issue or with the senders ISP. Any support would be appreciated. If it is Apple blocking this how do I best get that resolved?

You are most helpful (NOT!). Luckily, there are other discussions where participants have dug a bit deeper.

Apple has to have an agreement with ProofPoint, otherwise Proofpoint would not be filtering email to Apple icloud users. Several IT managers commented that ProofPoint was erroneously blocking their IPs and refusing to respond to their requests to change. So, yes, Proofpoint would be the one to ask, but since they aren't responding, it is time for someone from Apple to wake up and either subscribe to a different filtering service, or push ProofPoint to improve their resolution of false blocking.

You have just been helpful by providing a link to support your comment.

I am not a professional user. I came to this page through what I thought was a reasonable process of trying to find information on Apple's website. It has taken me a while to appreciate that clicking on a link in Apple's Support area would take me to a discussion where people like you would just snarkily point out how stupid they think you are rather than offering THEIR SOLUTION to the problem.

By telling other Apple users about my problem, I would hope that others with the same problem would either tell me what they did to resolve the problem, would have the dim comfort of knowing that they weren't the only ones with that problem, or would be fired up to also "tell Apple".

If I were Apple, I would certainly monitor discussions that I was hosting on my corporate website so that I could see what people were saying about my product. There are plenty of forums for discussion just like this where there are company representatives who will pipe in when appropriate to help out.

I'm on the phone with apple support right now about this. I'm being escalated to a senior technician. They recognized the error:

550 5.7.0 Blocked

It's not my IP, so it much be either my specific address, or possibly the entire domain.

Indeed, ProofPoint is the company doing the blocking, but they are doing it for Apple. So Apple is the path to take to get this fixed.

It will be interesting to see what Apple has to say.
