Recovering deleted notes on iPad

Help! Please!?

I just looked at my "Notes" app on my iPad, and one of my notes has vanished. It's about a year's worth of work. Is there any way I can recover it? It's gone from my iPhone as well.

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.4

This is a suggestion that will work for those who use gmail for their notes. It's also a strong recommendation that if you can that you should consider using gmail for important notes. It will require a free gmail account, but there are worse things in life and you DO NOT have to use the email part of the account except to find your missing notes as described below:

1. When you use gmail for your notes each note is stored as an email with the FROM being your gmail address, the subject being the Note title.

2. You can therefore resurrect any NOTE by simply hitting restore of that email or by copying that entire NOTE (yes it's all there) and making a new note on your IOS device.

3. To find this archive which you will find stores the NOTE every single time you make a change to it and I think even every day if you don't make a change to it (not sure about that). You simply do a search in your gmail with the from being your gmail address and the subject being the name of that NOTE.

Therefore if you use GMAIL the likelihood that you would lose any important notes is almost ZERO, however, if you want to make sure a NOTE can NEVER be found again (ie you put some incriminating or embarassing info there), you will need to DELETE permanently ALL of the copies of that NOTE in your gmail account.

This feature might exist in other NOTE set-ups for other mail providers, but I am only familiar with GMAIL. I do not believe it works this way for iCloud or at least I couldn't find it that way there.

SHebester's post saved my life .I had a long list of my desired books waiting for order. Then suddenly I deleted the notes stupidly !

BY going via safari to gmail , I found all of them .didn't test other ways .

one more recommendation : if you have several email acounts , check out the note settings in setting part. Then switch the default mail acount to your desired one.

Another suggestion : in ios 7 or newer vertions , there is an option in note app that you can choose between 3 options ( on my ipad / gmail/ notes) .

THis is the easiest way you can restore all the notes again 🙂
