Itunes match stuck at sending information to apple

Anyone else having issues tonight? Once a week the iTunes match seems to auto run the info gathering and send to apple. Normally it works fine although can be a but slow to get a response from apple sometimes. Tonight it just won't go past 'sending information to apple'. Each time I start iTunes it gathers the info to try again. Anyone else getting similar? My library has not changed in weeks so it can't be anything like that. I guess server issues at apples end?

Cheers

Wayne

New development here. I have had my iTunes running since this issue started with me this past Wednesday. Well, I just walked into my bedroom and looked at my iTunes and realized that two albums of music that I had been trying to upload, but never could because of the issue, have been uploaded... however, there are a couple songs that still have not loaded. I tried syncing my iTunes Match again for sh*ts and giggles and once again was met with a frozen "Sending Information to Apple" message with the inevitable "Lost Connection" error message... Kind of makes me wonder if they are working on the issue but haven't quite gotten everything down 100%

It does seem as though something is going on on Apple's side. For the past week I've also been having major issues with iTunes Match where it will get stuck at Step 1 and sometimes eventually time out with a "Network reset" error message. Tonight, I've actually had a couple of successful syncs, but only after multiple attempts. The progress bar in step 1 will go about 95% of the way and then slow down to a crawl. Restarting match will now eventually get step 1 to finish, and then the whole sync will complete. I've tried a number of troubleshooting steps, including a complete reinstall of iTunes, and a reimport and cleanup of my library. Nothing has helped so I am forced to come to the same conclusion that many others have...this is a problem on Apple's side that they need to fix. I am underwhelmed by Apple's seeming inability to get Match to work consistently.

Same problem here, everytime I launch iTunes I see it stuck on 'sending information to Apple'. Seems clear the issue is on Apple's end so I'm going to sit it out and hope they solve it soon. Tried to log a support ticket, but just got stuck in another loop of being asked for a serial number but not given any options to log anything.

Well after some 50+ mins, the iTunes Match process has worked successfully. Changes needed are nil.

You can log a support call by following the link from Apple System Status (http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/). At present Apple continues to show iTunes Match as fully working with no issues logged!

Suspect that the Apple Infrastructure is now over loaded with many repeat tries worldwide to connect - hence the frequent connection time outs. If you happen to connect when the load allows it will work.

Suggest using your Apple Id in raising the support ticket and tracking it to resolution - would anticipate many days to resolve, simply to allow the load on the Apple Infrastructure to recover.

We know by now that it's something on Apple's side, and they're not going to aggressively tackle the issue until enough subscribers speak up. Everyone please take c0heed's advice and create a support ticket:

Go to: http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus

Then click:

Contact Support > Get Started > Choose your Country > click on iTunes > iTunes Store > Connecting and Downloading, select topic is not listed and type iTunes Match.

>> From there, you'll be able to submit a support ticket online. The whole process only takes a couple of minutes.
