Itunes match stuck at sending information to apple

Anyone else having issues tonight? Once a week the iTunes match seems to auto run the info gathering and send to apple. Normally it works fine although can be a but slow to get a response from apple sometimes. Tonight it just won't go past 'sending information to apple'. Each time I start iTunes it gathers the info to try again. Anyone else getting similar? My library has not changed in weeks so it can't be anything like that. I guess server issues at apples end?

Cheers

Wayne

I finally got a call back, am on hold at the moment. The support person is checking my account as we speak. I'm kinda shocked that she didn't seem to be aware of this problem and that I'm not the only one. She's telling me right now that I'm losing connectivity with the iTunes Store, which doesn't sound right since I'm able to browse the store with no problem, it's only iTunes Match that I'm losing connectiion with. I guess I'll wait to hear what her supervisor says?? Very frustrating that this seems widespread and I'm told by Apple that their servers are working fine. SMH

Just submitted a new ticket, if you have this problem and haven't created a ticket, please do it! They will never fix it, if they don't know that there is a problem!

Go here:

http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

And choose contact support, Get Started, Choose your country, click on iTunes, iTunes Store, Connecting and Downloading, choose the topic is not listed and type in iTunes Match, click on continue and then you can choose Mail and submit your ticket.

Unbelievable. Days later and apple do not recognise an issue. I guess typical of them. They are dropping the ball, just look how bad and bugged ios 6 and iTunes 11 are. They shouldn't need us to tell them there is an issue. They should be monitoring this remotely. How they can then try and claim no issue and get people going through pointless troubleshooting is beyond me. Just look at the forum apple and then try and claim no issue huh! Anyway I also submitted ticket and pasted this thread link in - whether they even bother to read is another story.

Beware! I just spent the last hour troubleshooting with Apple and now I'm missing 1000+ songs from my library. The service guy tells me my iTunes Match library was only around 400+ songs EVEN THOUGH I was streaming music that is now missing just three days ago.

If you get ahold of anyone at Apple and they suggest deleting various files from your computer, DON'T! My library is totally screwed now. Their Match service does NOT Match what I had in my library. I know for a FACT I was streaming music through Match but Apple says I couldn't have because it wasn't showing up in their servers.

Praying I get my library back and if I do, I'm downloading everything ASAP and getting a refund for this iTunes Match crap that isn't working!!!

Jerry, Sorry to hear you lost songs but if you read thread from the beginning you would have been warned not to let apple support trouleshoot anything on our computers as it is not a problem with our computers. They wanted me to reinstal my operating system & told them no right away. I told them to listen to what I said it is apple problem and not a problem with my computer

Ernie, your "i told you so" remark has been noted. I was on the phone with a senior supervisor, who you'd think knew what they were doing. If I could get my laptop to connect with Match I'd be fine, despite my iPhone showing my full 1800+ song library. Thanks for your "if you'd only read this thread from beginning to end" remarks, now I feel really good. What I'm saying is, their Match database shows only a handful of songs, which is not correct.

Thanks for the sympathy! You're a terrific person!

Oh, and by the by, the file deleted was actually only temporarily moved and put back. My bad. So in fact, no files were actually deleted. Their Match database is what's really screwed.

This is crazy - it's Saturday at 3:45 p.m. Arizona time (I'm in the Phoenix area). I started noticing this problem yesterday. Finally got fed up with it today so tried restarting, then checking Google to see if others are having this issue - and then I found this thread and others like it.

iTunes Match is great when it works - when it doesn't like right now, I start thinking about actually plugging my iPhone into my MacBook to (gasp) sync music with iTunes like I used to!

All kidding aside (although I really was about to manually sync my iPhone with iTunes to listen to some new tracks before I thought better of it), I had tried logging out of iTunes and logging back in - I see that solution had worked for some users but not for me and for others. Seeing the large number of people who have this same issue gives me confidence this is an Apple issue and not an issue with just my system or account. I've come to rely on iCloud more and more to sync Pages documents between my Mac and iPad, so this problem isn't exactly giving me a warm fuzzy feeling right now.

iTunes Match is a terriffic system, when it works - right now, it's just not working for me, and apparently, lots of others as well.

Come on, Apple - you're better than this!

Rule #1 in using iTunes Match. Always keep a hard copy of EVERY music file that you have in your library.

iTunes Match is not a backup or safe place to store your music and that be your only copy.

Now on the subject at hand. There is no way that apple doesn't know about this. Don't bother doing all the sign out sign in stuff and all the other Fixes that are being suggested. They are not working. Lower tier people on apple's support line have stuff they have to make you do before they will ever believe it could be apples problem. This is an apple problem and apple at the iTunes Match level knows it. To many people are having problems for them not to know it. Hopefully Tim Cook just tried and he got the message sending information to apple and just called Eddie cue and told him to get it fixed but I wouldn't hold my breath. Haha

None the less I've been following this for a few days to see when it gets fixed.

Finally connected to Match and my library is back to its normal 1800+ items, despite what Apple says is in my database. If you're gonna ditch Match, make a new playlist, add ALL your songs to it, click the gear (lower left corner next to +) and choose "Download". Do it quickly before the connection goes away. Soon as all mine are downloaded (probably won't happen since it's taken me hours just to reconnect to Match) I'm ditching this unstable service.

The problem is Match says I only have a handful of songs uploaded, when I know that isn't the case (I took screenshots of my song lists which is contrary to what Apple says).

It's on all ios devices, even my iPad and iPhone keep losing connection to the Store.
