Go to your manufacturer's website and download the latest installer. If your version is current, the installer will tell you there's nothing to upgrade. Also, it depends on the audio interface you have but a lot of them can display the version on the control panel.

You don't have to worry about that. Apple's drivers for their soundcards are included with the OS. When there's updates for Core Audio, they're automatically included in OS updates.
