What is the safest recommended surge protector for the iphone? My son uses his iphone while plugged in/charging to listen to music to fall asleep. I know this is not recommended. Anyway, what type of surge protector will prevent dangerous power surges?

I am thinking of the Chinese flight attendant who was shocked while answering her iphone 5 while it was plugged in. She got an unusually strong surge of power and died. Thanks.
That was caused by a cheap third party knock off.
If you are using one from Apple you have nothing to worry about.

Using the iphone while plugged in is not a problem.
