I lost all my data in Macfamilytree even though I had the auto save on. The file exists with original name but only 49 of 550 persons are there.

I was making a Family Tree with Macfamilytree. I had more than 550 individual data, including very old photographs, birth marriage an death dates, etc

Last night I entered 49 new persons, and lost the old data and only kept the last 49 entries. The file is the same one, no change of name, and it had the auto save every 10 minutes, in on... The program never asked me if I wanted to delete, or save, or any thing, suddenly it was gone...

The last time I handmade a back up .. Unfortunately was before I started with this.

Is there any way I can make an " undo" so that I get the original data??

Many thanks

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), iOS 6.1.4

Your Mac is well equipped to take care of your files, Time Machine is solid, and you already have it.

Mac Family Tree have done you a disservice, no doubt. AutoSave would have been nice if it had worked. But you compounded it by making no backup provision. Your data is important to you, not MFT, it is a wise choice to take care of safeguarding it rather than relying on them.

I feel for you, it's not a good way to learn just how important backup is.
