How do i get rid of a iPhone Virus?

I have now for the second time a strange virus on my Iphone 5, iOs 6.1.4 It opens randomly the pre-installed apple apps like Newsstand, Settings, Notes etc. and changes settings there. The first time I had it, it sent a message with "awkward" to one of my contacts. This time it changed my wallpaper. I haven't jailbreaked my iPhone. How do I get rid of this ****? It seems to help to switch the Wifi off. A reset of the settings did work the first time but not now. Thanks for your help!

If you do have a virus on your phone I'm guessing you were doing more than the most, however it is possible for and iPhone or iPad to get a virus. It is extremely rare!! This is what I found: http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/iph....

Good luck!

And the information in that article basically boils down to "Don't jailbreak your iPhone". No one needs to click on a link to find that out. We've said it repeatedly in this thread. Posting articles like that misrepresents the level of threat.

No you don't. You don't need a free one or one that costs money. You don't need a "virus cleaner" for your iOS device at all, because there are no viruses in the wild for iOS devices (unless your device is jailbroken, in which case - you won't get any help here).

So, keep that kind of crap off of your phone, and it will continue to work as it should.

Best of luck,

you are currently on an ancient ios version. Iphone 5 works perfectly well on ios 10.3.3 which is the latest supported by apple. Install ios 10.3.3 from itunes thru DFU mode. (DFU mode: Connect to itunes, power off and press home with cord connected to ur pc untill u see the device shut down and re appear as "connect to itunes". Even if its a virus as u say it should clear out everything including the boot record.

Hope this helps..

Thank you for this super valuable advice. I found that 5 million times in the Internet and if I didn't still have virus on my non jail broken iPhone 5 I wouldn't write here. So anybody has a proper solution other than "there are no viruses for iPhone" how to get rid of this ****?

So, how do you expect anyone to tell you to get rid of something that does not exist? The reality is there are no known virii (viruses ?) in the wild for unaltered, stock iOS.

1. they are being hacked

2. they have a virus

as

1. demons

2. later on as aliens

also many people in these forums thing there are people remote controllings their ios devices
