I have installed OS X Mountain LION and cannot open anymore Microsoft Word or Excel

I have installed OS X Mountain LION on my MacBook Pro 13" and cannot open anymore Microsoft Word or Excel ? Could you help me with this problem? Thank you.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), MacBook Pro 13 inch (mid 2009)

I started using Keynotes for my lectures this past year, first as an experiment, and then becasue it just blew away PowerPoint in its capabilities. Pages I like becasue it is simpler to use than Word, and I don't use most of the power of Word so it does not matter. Of course, conversion does not work on things like equations, tables, etc...never worked with Word and WordPerfect, either.


Like I said, have never used Numbers so have no comment on that.


But I sure do like Keynotes.

I still use Bean for WP, my needs are light, I never used Powerpoint and have no need of Keynote, but I believe it deserves all the kudos (I hear from many)


I have years of work in Excel spreadsheets, and without VBA in Numbers none will run. Simpler spreadsheet requirements will probably be fine but for me Numbers is a toy.
