Hi!

I have an issue with MacBook Air 2012 display. It has an area in the contour of the back side of the Apple's symbol. It is lighter, than the whole display. What is it? It's a normal state?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

I think I understand what you are saying. The Apple symbol on the computer's lid is opaque so the backlight of the LCD will make it appear to glow. It looks really cool to see the Apple glowing in a dimly lit room. But if you are working where the light is bright and shining on the lid, the opaque apple symbol will let the bright light shine thru onto the LCD. Under the right conditions you can see the apple symbol shining thru onto the LCD display. It is a side affect of the opaque apple and 'normal'. You can avoid it by turning away from the bright light.

If this isn't what you mean, sorry for wasting a moment of your time.

Is this something you see all the time or just when there's bright light shining on the lid? If it is all the time, even in a dimly lit room, take it to Apple. The only time I see anything at all is when I'm sitting with a bright light shining on me - like the sun is striking the lid.
