Can't download updates on Mac OS X Puma (10.1)

The other day, I decided to replace the hard drive in my iMac G4 and put Puma instead of Panther on it. I would have done Jaguar, however I don't own it. I only actually own Panther and Tiger. (I downloaded Puma from WinWorldPC's software library, which is full of stuff if you wanna look into it.) I reformatted it, installed the OS, and thought everything was going pretty well, then it came time to actually get it updated to the latest version, so I went to Apple's official page to download the updates. When I click the download button, I get a 404 error. Is Apple really this dumb? They remove the file from the server, but DON'T delete the download page. It ticks me off. Anyway, the question is: how and where can I get any updates? I need the 7-18-02 security update for v10.1.0, and Mac OS X 10.1.5.

Any help is highly appreciated.

What I didn't mention is that I need to download them directly for the reason shown in this video:

Now that brings me to another question. When I try to install the combo update, it tells me that I need to update the installer. Do you know where I can download the installer update?

I tried to find that Installer Update and the 7-18-02 security update, and found reference to them in a document but I think the software has disappeared from the server. Realistically, Apple has no tradition in maintaining old stuff, so you will have to be flexible in your project to resucitate an old G4 computer. Perhaps aim for 10.3 as that was a good OS and it will still let you run Classic.

I think I will up it to Panther. I was really after all just experimenting. There was nothing wrong with the other hard drive, it was just small. I just decided to double the hard drive space from 40 GB to 80 GB while using a faster drive. Then, all I had handy was Puma, so that was what I used. I picked this thing up at a yard sale for $35, and the people didn't think it worked. As it turns out, it was the power cord. It had Jaguar on it at the time. After all, upping it to Panther would aid me in my other task of getting iMovie 4.0.0 on another Mac.

I had the same problem and found the solution. Go to the support page for the 10.1.5 Combo update. Down at the bottom of the page there is a link for the system requirements. Click on the system requirements and there you will be able to see links to the security update and the installer update. Follow those links and download. Install the security update first and then the installer update followed by the combo update. It worked for me and now I have a retro machine to play with. Note that you don't have to boot into Puma to apply the updates. I installed the updates while booted inot Panther. Hope this helps someone, I searched for hours for the answer.
