Countdown timer no longer flashes when time is up
My iPod touch used to flash when the countdown timer (or alarm) is up.
Now it just plays the designaed sound or music. No Flash.
What do I need to do?

Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Hearing and check if LED Flash for Alerts is ON.
Thank you. Unfortunately it was ON. I switched OFF and ON again, but no change, no flash. Hm...
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Thank you for your advice.
Did all you suggested, no success though.
Set up appointment with the Genius Bar for next evening and did not bother diddle around with the iPod any more.
However, next day, a few hours prior to the appointment, the darned thing started blinking again.
Go figure. So I canceled the appointment.
Anyhow, I am (again) a happy and thankful camper.
