My wifi signal has not been good ever since AT&T had the latest update for U-verse.
Now I can't even stay on wifi at all when I'm paying for it. So I try to connect to my home
Wifi and it keeps telling me "unable to connect to network" even though I have a signal.
It keeps showing up as LTE instead of 4G. So why can't I stay connected to my home
Network when I know it's working?

Please understand this particular comment has absolutely nothing to do with WiFi. LTE and 4G are different types of cellular connections. LTE is actually superior to 4G when used in an AT&T setting. You should be pleased to see LTE instead of 4G.
But once you've reset your network settins as iAmBehin suggests, and then gone to Settings > WiFi and tried to get onto your WiFi network, hopefully you should see the WiFi emblem instead of 4G or LTE.

AT&T uses "4G" to indicate the HSPA+ network, which is older and slower than LTE. It was kind of a sales gimmick that enabled them to say their verison of the iPhone 4S, unlike their competitors, was "4G capable".

Both LTE and HSPA+ are defined by the ITU as "4G" networks. The decision to display "4G" and "LTE" on phones (not just the iPhone) is largely a marketing decision. LTE is 4G. 4G is not necessarily LTE.

A sellout if there ever was one. Before the change by the ITU under pressure from T-Mobile and AT&T purists did not even recognize the current entry level LTE as 4G. T-Mobile began referring to HSPA+ as "4G" prior to the ITU change.
I agree it's a sellout. "4G" was originally defined as providing 100 Mbps when mobile and 1 Gbps of throughput when stationary. Neither one is "4G". According to the ITU, "4G" now means "transitionary" to 4G.
4Gand LTE are alternate names for the same thing
I would try Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings.
