I just purchased my first iphone. I was attempting to add music to my internal storage & realize now I am required to sync to itunes. After dragging & dropping the music files from my desktop to the "internal storage" of my iphone, the music does not show up in the internal storage file or on my iphone. I am wondering if the music is now somewhere in my phone taking up space or if it simply did not transfer over?

If you dragged the music to the internal storage it will take up space. You can use your iPhone as a usb drive and the internal storage is how you do it. You need to add music to iTunes and sync music through iTunes.

Adding Media
You have to place the music in the library of iTunes on your computer and the select the iPhone from the Devices listed on the left side of the iTunes window and then sync...that places the music on the iPhone.
